music and movement (3-5 years)
Music and Movement group lessons (12-weeks long) are offered at 45-minutes once per week, with up to 3-4 students in each group. Through fun activities, instructors will introduce music concepts such as ear training, rhythmic training, and note reading. This class prepares students for the formal music lesson. Little Mozart (3-4 years)
Little Beethoven (4.5-5 years)
Little Mozart and Beethoven group lessons are offered at 45-minutes once per week, with 3 to 4 students in each group. These music lessons are designed for children 3 to 5 years of age and include an introduction to music concepts such as ear training, rhythmic training, and reading music. This class effectively prepares the student for the formal music lesson. Each session is 10 weeks long and are offered year-round.

MUSIC THEORY THROUGH IMPROVISATION
A group class focusing on music theory and its application through musical improvisation. Musicianship will deepen as we play together as an ensemble and learn to apply theoretical knowledge to musical situations.
Intermediate to advanced students only. Maximum of 6 students per class.
THE FMMI JAZZ ENSEMBLE
A group class introducing students to the essentials of playing jazz. Study traditional songs, improvisation and theory.
Intermediate to advanced students only. Maximum of 6 students per class.
THE FMMI IMPROVISATION ENSEMBLE
A group class dedicated to the study and practice of musical improvisation. Students will develop their ears, create original music, and experience playing together in an ensemble.
Experienced beginners to advanced students only. Maximum of 8 students per class.
private and semi-private
The following instruments are private, one-on-one lessons that are offered at 30-minute, 45-minute, and one-hour intervals. Semi-private lessons are also available at 45-minute intervals. Semi-private lessons are two-on-one. Lessons are offered year-round.

Music theory lessons are available to all FMMI students. These lessons are workshop-style to accommodate students of all levels, and can assist those preparing for Certificate of Merit and Royal School of Music exams.
